What is the correct ignition coil for single plug engine?
Hello,
I have a 1975 Ro80 and need to replace a failing coil. What are correct, currently available options? From internet searching, it appears that the Bosch part number 0221119027 is a match, but I don’t want to be guessing here.
Thank you!

And, to answer your question, there is no substitute for it. But I'm sure, it is ok and you have a different problem.
Do you have the means to view the primary voltage on an oscilloscope? Caution: approx. 400 V!

Thank you, Ralf!
I do not have a way to view it on an oscilloscope. I have tested with a multimeter the primary and secondary resistance of the coil that is on my car and in both cases it appears to indicate degradation from standard. The primary resistance is .2 and the secondary is .4 which appears to be quite a bit off standard and likely not giving me enough hot spark to get the car started.
Am I looking at this problem incorrectly? I’m happy to go get an oscilloscope if this will help clarify my issues!

It should be
primary (between conn. '1' and 'A') about 0,2 Ω, 30 µH
secondary (between conn. '1' and '4' (the high-voltage output)) about 540 Ω, 2,7 H
The BOSCH part number should be 0 221 121 004.
If you don't measure approx. these values, it obviously won't work and you should try to get a working used one. Or you could try this one: https://www.rosepassion.com/en/dia…
However, you should also check whether the CDI is functioning correctly. The only way to really determine this, though, is with an oscilloscope.
These are the connections:

Hi Ilya,
what makes you think the so called ignition transformer is faulty? They very rarely fail.
